Teeth Whitening

Many people associate professional teeth whitening with movie stars and brides. However, it is actually the most popular procedure in cosmetic dentistry.

Common Stains

Stained or discolored teeth are very common among adults of all ages, and come from a variety of sources, such as coffee, red wine, soda, tea, tobacco, and some medications.

Many people with stained teeth tend to brush more vigorously. This can remove the enamel from your teeth, causing further discoloration and serious dental problems.

Others use over-the-counter whitening kits, but these kits don’t have the prescription strength and lasting effects of a professional teeth-whitening procedure.

Options for Professional Teeth Whitening

At-home whitening using professional "trays" and gels

Here, you are provided with dental trays that are custom-fit to keep the special whitening gel against your teeth. You can do this safely at home (with your dentist’s proper instruction and coaching).

This method offers results in about 5–10 sessions, though the degree of whitening can vary from person to person. Monthly touch-ups are required to maintain the white shade.

Many dentists charge hundreds of dollars to fit you with a set of proper-fitting trays and gels for treatment. However, our office offers free professional whitening gel for life when you schedule a new patient X-ray and exam and maintain regular cleanings.

ZOOM®! Whitening

For faster results, we also offer ZOOM! ® whitening, which gives you a brighter, whiter smile in a single appointment that takes approximately 60 minutes. After preparing your lips and gums, the ZOOM®! gel is applied. This gel works with the ZOOM®! light to gently penetrate your teeth, breaking up stains and discoloration safely, effectively, and very quickly.

This whitening procedure automatically puts you into the Whitening for Life program.

The key to a long-lasting, bright, white smile is to have it whitened by a cosmetic dentist before discoloration becomes too severe.

Choose one of these options through our dental office, and you can be sure to receive solid advice, professional care, and a smile that will make you proud!
