General Dentistry

Our office offers a range of general dental procedures that goes beyond just drilling and filling cavities. We enjoy using the most up-to-date techniques and technologies to help our patients’ achieve their desired smiles.  Many of our patients comment how they feel they receive excellent care.

“Great experience as always.”

George Lucas
Fairway Dental Care Patient

Just recently, a new patient came in who had not been to a dentist in 15 years because of some poor dental  experiences in the past.  Dr. Falter was fixing cavities on his two front teeth that were very discolored.  The decay went deep and this patient ended up needing a root canal.

We were concerned that given his past experiences, he might feel the same about our care as he did with his other dentists.

The next day, his wife came in and told us that her husband had told her, “I didn’t feel anything.  It’s obvious Dr Falter knows what he’s doing and is an expert.”  Wow.  What a compliment!

At times, Dr Falter will refer our patients to a specialist for particular procedures.  If there is a procedure he believes you would be better served with by going to a specialist, he will let you know and we support you in the process of being taken care of with our referral team.   So by staying up to date with procedures, using-up-to-date equipment and having access to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to your dental health, we are able to offer you top notch care.

Gentle Cleanings

Did you know that good oral hygiene impacts your overall health?  It’s true, poor oral hygiene can lead to a variety of dental and medical problems such as periodontal or gum disease, heart disease, strokes, diabetes and other infections.

That’s why it is so important to have your teeth cleaned at least twice a year. Twice a year cleanings are what we recommend for people that need what we call a ‘healthy cleaning’.  If you have periodontal disease, you’ll need to have a perio maintenance cleanings up to four times each year.

A teeth cleaning is the removal of dental plaque and tartar which helps to control cavities, gingivitis and gum disease.  A perio cleaning removes plaque and bacteria that is under your gums in a pocket that is created between the gum and tooth.  Our hygienist is excellent at cleaning teeth, whether it be a healthy cleaning or a periodontal cleaning.  She is also skilled in helping our patients experience comfortable and pain-free cleanings.

At Fairway Dental Care, we partner with you and deliver a variety of dental cleaning procedures based on your individual needs.

“Always receive first class care, pain and stress free. For the first time, I took advantage of the hot wax treatment for my hands…and what a treat that was!!”

Tooth Extractions

Tooth Extractions

At Fairway Dental Care, we always try to help you save your teeth. If it is possible to avoid losing a tooth, it’s in your favor to do so. Sometimes a tooth has so much decay and is so broken down that it must be removed. When this happens Dr Falter will help you look at options for replacing your missing tooth as a missing tooth can have effects on your bite, your jaw and your ability to chew properly.

Tooth Colored Fillings

In the past cavities were filled with various types of metals. It used to be common to see dark grey or gold in people’s mouth when they laughed or smiled big.
There is no need for that with today’s advances in dentistry. Now you can have tooth colored fillings that are made from resins we call composites. They are matched to your tooth’s color and blend right in so oftentimes they can not even be noticed once they are placed. Even if you look closely. Another benefit of using composite fillings is that the resin the composite is made from does not expand and contract with temperature changes like fillings made of metals do. This is important because a metal making small changes in it’s size while expanding and contracting, will over time crack your natural tooth. They you have a problem on your hands, or in your mouth, to be more accurate. We only place tooth colored fillings. And they are beautiful.
