Dental Hygienist Job Description
About Dental Clinic

Dr. Falter and his team are dedicated to providing every patient with the utmost in comfortable care. You will be working in a state of the art facility with all the latest in Dental NexGen technology.

Patients are offered fresh coffee, herbal teas, a fireplace in the reception room, massage chairs in the treatment rooms, pillows, blankets and big screen HDTV’s. The practice values teamwork, dependability, attention to detail and a motivated mentality. Our client is a patient centered, state of the art, general dentist office located in Centralia, WA. They are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join their team where you will play a key role and be a valued team member! The successful candidate will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, taking and developing x-rays, providing patient education, and assisting the dentist with other procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient comfort, and a passion for providing the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and polish teeth using various dental instruments.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and periodontal scaling.
• Take and develop dental x-rays. (digital radiographs and intra-oral photographs)
• Assist the dentist in providing treatment to patients.
• Maintain patient records and charts.
• Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques.

Associate General Dentist Job Description

Job Summary

We are a small, family-oriented private dental practice seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Dentist to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering personalized care to our patients, with a focus on building long-term relationships. This is not a corporate-owned DSO, but rather a practice where you have the opportunity to know each patient individually and provide high-quality care in a warm and friendly environment.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to both their own referred patients and those supplied by our practice, covering a broad range of dental services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic, patient-focused team where your skills and dedication will make a real difference.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and provide high-quality dental care to patients, including endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, restorative and esthetic dentistry.
  • Perform a minimum of one-third of your time performing dental hygiene services, including teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, sealant application, and oral cancer screenings.
  • Efficiently manage complex dental extractions, including third molars (wisdom teeth).
  • Proficiently place dental implants, including the ability to perform implant surgery.
  • Provide dental treatments to patients including routine cleaning, oral surgery, dental fillings, bonding, fixed prosthetics, dental crowns/veneers and dentures.
  • Build trust and maintain strong relationships with patients, getting to know them on an individual level.
  • Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options.
  • Assess treatment planning options and discuss them with patients.
  • Maintain patients’ dental records.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA laws.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from a school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association.
  • Licensed to practice dentistry in the state.
  • Valid and current DEA license
  • A minimum of [insert years] years of experience in general dentistry.
  • Proven ability to perform all aspects of general dentistry.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care and excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work at least two evenings per week until 9 pm.
  • Must have a current CPR certification.
